Windmills at Sunset
Ancient technology is now harnessing the wind for more modern concerns. Developed in the 9th and 10th Centuries windmills were used for milling grain or for pumping water in the absence of electricity, in more modern times however, the production of electricity is the name of the game. Capable of producing up to 6 Mega watts (MW) of power per turbine for each of the largest structures, windmills may hold the ticket to our alternative energy future.
